GSRVC

GSRVC is a joint-venture with Goldman Sachs, whose primary objective is to invest in sale-leaseback transactions in the Colombian hospital and healthcare real estate market. With significant changes to the Colombian healthcare system over the past few years caused by the adoption of new legislation, the Colombian healthcare industry has become more appealing for foreign investment, as Colombia has been consistently rated one of the best and safest places in Latin America for foreign investment in recent years. In addition, many of Colombia’s leading hospitals are trying to expand, but are limited by local banks and lenders who control their capital. This combination of factors led to the formation of GSRVC.

The first purchase under the GSRVC joint-venture was the Instituto del Corazon Floridablanca (ICF) in Bucaramanga, Colombia, which was bought from Fundación Cardiovascular de Colombia (FCV).
