Rizk Ventures Honors Operation Game On at the San Diego Country Fair

Linda RizkRizk Ventures was proud to honor Operation Game On (OGO) and its founder Tony Perez yesterday at the San Diego County Fair by presenting them with a check for $25,000, and pledging our long-term support for the organization in the years to come.

OGO gives returning combat-injured troops suffering from physical and mental disabilities a very special, customized “intro-to-golf” package, which provides them golf lessons with certified PGA Golf Instructors, professional fitting sessions, golf equipment and apparel, as well as access to San Diego county courses at discounted rates.

Thomas A. Rizk and Rizk Ventures are proud to support OGO, believing that American patriots and veterans deserve programs that empower them through the transition from dangerous combat missions and traumatic experiences with IEDs back into their daily lives at home. After the amazing sacrifices the men and women of our armed forces have made on behalf of all Americans, it is crucial for us to contribute our time and money to ensure that they know they’ve earned our unwavering support.

There could not have been a better day to celebrate and honor the troops than the Fourth of July, the quintessential patriotic American holiday. The weather was perfect, like the day, and we had the chance to engage with so many families who have been affected by military operations. Our focus was not only on the heroes in the military, but the heroes at home: mothers, fathers, sons, daughters and wives who endure long periods without their loved ones and must also cope with the effects of combat injuries. It is with great pleasure that we were able to present several wives with “Purple Heart” bracelets that had been designed for this occasion. The amazing jewelry will be a constant reminder to these women that we recognize their sacrifice and we know that it takes great courage on the home front to ensure great courage on the front lines.
